Montessori Learning for
Life-long success

In the right environment, a child’s curiosity leads to discovery and learning.

Our Montessori school is that environment.

Our parents notice the difference when their Montessori-schooled children join “traditional” classrooms. Their children are ahead in their academic skills. And they are eager to add new knowledge.

How far ahead? It depends on the length and quality of the Montessori experience. We suggest at least two years for all children. The quality of their early education will last their entire academic career.

Three Measures of Success

Our personalized approach at Springs East Montessori School provides your child the foundation for success with:

  1. Confidence – Our students learn to learn. They know they can figure anything out. They learn to solve problems with hands-on lessons. And our experienced staff supports their accomplishments.

  2. Leadership – Springs East Montessori School provides a supportive environment where students feel valued and learn to value others around them.

  3. Love of learning – We allow students to do the work that interests them while helping them with success in subjects outside their comfort zone. It’s a win-win that helps them with a more fearless approach to learning.

We believe in a strong learning structure. In it, children are safe to use their natural strengths. Learning comes naturally with this child-centered approach. The result is advanced academic skills. Children learn to be successful in their work. And their confidence soars.

The outcomes? Curiosity, creativity, self-discipline, and respect for others.

Learning is not a competition. It’s a collaboration between you, your children, and our teaching staff. Your children have unique abilities. We develop their strengths and uncover the strengths they didn’t know they had. It’s a custom-fit education.

Give your children a foundation that starts with a love of learning. They will take their Montessori experience with them into lives filled with confidence, dignity, and compassion for others.

FAQs

Many parents have questions as they explore Montessori. Here are some of those questions. As you review them, add your own questions or follow-ups so we can address your needs and expectations. We look forward to meeting with you!

  • What is the biggest advantage of Montessori schooling?

    • Children in Montessori learn how to think. The focus is on problem-solving skills, not memorization. Children get the confidence of knowing they can do anything!

  • Why should I choose Springs East Montessori?

    • We offer a warm and supportive community of students, teachers, and parents. Our classrooms are airy and bright, an exciting environment for learning. And we’re surprisingly affordable.

  • How long should I keep my child in a Montessori school?

    • We recommend at least two years. We offer classes up to the third grade. We find that even great school districts cannot provide the level of attention and success we can.

  • Math skills are important. How do you help children excel?

    • We use a structured approach that children can literally hold on to. We use beads and other items that children can move and group to solve math problems. These tools help children see (and hold) the math concepts we teach.

  • When will my child learn to read?

    • We don’t know the exact day, but usually early. We begin by placing our youngest students in classes in which the older students are already reading. It’s a natural lure for the young ones. Mastery develops from phonetics to secret sounds to words to sentences. It goes so smoothly that students tend to exhibit a sudden “explosion into spelling and reading!” It leaves our young students and their families beaming with pride.
