WELCOME TO SPRINGS EAST

Since its inception in 1967, Cincinnati's Springs East Montessori School has maintained an educational philosophy that centers on developing each child's greatest potential through a combination of innovative educational approaches that accommodates individual learning styles and rates of development.

The diverse students of Springs East Montessori School,
from pre-school through third grade, are motivated, energetic, dedicated, curious, bright, and are encouraged to become independent thinkers and problem solvers.

At Springs East, the individual child is the center and focus of the curriculum. Learning is a process that engages the child's total self: physical, emotional, social and intellectual. Mastery of skills and knowledge is as important as a love of learning, self-discipline, self-esteem and creative expression.

WHY MONTESSORI?

Determining the best type of education for children can be a difficult decision for parents. The choice between public, private, Montessori, or home schooling offer different options for a child’s educational opportunities.

Weighing the importance of scholastic achievement, social skills and future career goals can greatly influence a parent’s choice.

A recent study concluded that Montessori education offers an advantage for both academic and social development.

SPRINGS EAST MONTESSORI SCHOOL PHILOSOPHY

Every child has 'special talents' and it is the school's and teacher's
responsibility to cultivate and help the child utilize those talents.

OUR STAFF

All teachers are Montessori certified prior to employment at Springs East, and assistant teachers are required to complete Montessori training prior to employment, to familiarize each with the concepts and techniques used in our school.

All educators complete continuing education classes annually in areas including child development, learning disabilities, and curriculum development. Teachers continue to update their skills to improve their teaching effectiveness.
